About us

The area

The Old Vicarage NI is a newly established family run B & B business located on the East Coast of The Ards Peninsula, Northern Ireland and is set on the fringe of the quaint old fishing village of Ballywalter. Travelling by car we are just 20 minutes from the market towns of Bangor and Newtownards and 40 minutes from Belfast City Airport. Donaghadee, just north along the coastline is only 15 minutes away where there is a great marina and a host of traditional bars and restaurants.

An historical Edwardian property

The Old Vicarage NI is a large detached commanding Edwardian dwelling built in 1910 with a Grade B2 listing. We are located directly on the seafront and adjacent to the historic Holy Trinity Church. Over the past 5 years it has been lovingly restored to provide luxurious superior accommodation in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Some modern fittings have been incorporated to address todays needs to make your stay even more comfortable.

Spectacular views

All of our rooms provide spectacular unrestricted views over the Irish Sea towards The Isle of Man and Scotland. The property has retained all of the original Edwardian style features and has been tastefully decorated to match. It displays all the true opulent grandeur of the Edwardian era. Within the spacious grounds there is ample private off-road parking and secure storage for cycles and other sporting equipment including drying facilities.
